Kahit tapos na ang eleksiyon, Imelda tuloy ang laban

Ibang Imelda Papin, na nagpasikat ng mga awiting ang isa ay may linyang “kung liligaya ka sa piling ng iba,” ang humarap noong Lunes sa ilang members ng entertainment press, naghain siya ng complaint na nadaya siya sa katatapos na eleksiyon in her bid na maging Congresswoman ng 6th district ng Camarines Sur.

Unlike her kababayan and fellow entertainment personality, Aga Muhlach, who, three years ago, also run for the same office and suffered the same fate, pero piniling ‘wag nang ituloy ang election protest, yes, against the political family, considered in the district as the most influential, in her case raw, according to Imelda, she will fight it out with the Fuentabellas, hanggang kung ano ang tama, yes kung sino talaga ang nanalo, ang nanaig.

“Hindi ko hahayang sa piling nilang muli ipamahala ang dapat na progresibo at magandang buhay na dapat ay ini-enjoy ngayon ng mga kababayan ko sa distritong ito. Na sa unang tingin pa lamang ay hindi maipagkakailang the poorest sa Camarines Sur,” ani Imelda.

Na-prove na raw ni Imelda ang pagiging effective niya bilang public official when for two terms, she was elected bilang first female Vice Governor ng Camarines Sur.

Twice rin nga siyang tumanggap ng award as Most Outstanding Vice Governor of the Philippines and was cited for her zero-corruption record.

Sa kanyang inihain na election protest before the House Representatives Electoral Tribunal, she has, according to Imelda, all the necessary records, number of  votes na kanyang nakuha included, para kuwestyonin ang pagka-panalo diumano ng kanyang kalaban, na si Noli Fuentabella.

Anthony Castelo at Victor Wood namataan

Na-sight sa presscon ni Imelda ang kanyang fellow singers na sina Anthony Castelo at Victor Wood.

Of Anthony, when asked if he won, as it is common knowledge that he run for councilor of the third district ng Quezon City, he mumbled: “Sa botohan, I know, I won.

“Pero, sa bilangan ng boto talo.”

In any case, reelected councilor of the said district is Gian Sotto, anak nina Senator Tito Sotto and actress Helen Gamboa.

Coleen malabo nang makabalik sa Showtime

Gustuhin man daw ni Coleen Garcia, mahihirapan na siyang bumalik bilang co-host nina Vice Ganda, Karylle, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro at ng boyfriend na si Billy Crawford, sa noontime prog­ram na It’s Showtime.

Dahil nga naman naging busy siya sa paggawa ng teleserye, na ang huli ay sa Pasion de Amor, at maging sa pelikula, including Love Me Tomorrow, which will open in theaters nationwide today, hindi siya, tulad nina Billy and company, regularly na nakakapag-report sa programa.

She hopes all of them will watch Love Me Tomorrow, as she considers her acting, well, good, although not as good siguro compared to the perfor­mances of her co-stars na sina Dawn Zulueta at Piolo Pascual.

Isa pa nga palang mainstay ng It’s Showtime na tiyak nami-miss din ng regular viewers ng programa ay si Jhong Hilario, na balak munang i-focus ang atensiyon sa mandate na ibinigay sa kanya ng electorate bilang bagong halal na konsehal ng kanilang distrito sa Makati.

Empress at Beauty tulad ni Sen. Jinggoy ang kaseksihan

Tulad ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada, who plays the title role in Tatay Kong Sexy, Empress Schuck and Beauty Gonzales, were themselves sexy, too.

But this was, of course, more than two years ago nang nagsu-shooting pa sila ng Tatay Kong Sexy at parehong dalaga pa. In the true sense of the word, sina Empress at Beauty ay parehong dalagang ina na.

Well, both are happy na showing na rin finally ang pelikula. It’s a rom-com daw and they both enjoyed habang ginagawa ito.
