MANILA, Philippines — Para mabakunahan ang 60 milyong Pinoy ng COVID-19 vaccine ay naka­takdang umutang ang gob­yerno ng P73.2 bilyon.

Sa meeting kasama si Pangulong Rodrigo Du­terte, sinabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III na manggagaling ang pondo sa mga multilateral agencies, domestic at bilateral sources.

Sa pagtaya ng gob­yerno­, P40 bilyong low-cost at long-term loans ang maaaring mautang sa Asian Development Bank (ADB) at World Bank (WB).

Habang nasa P20 bil­yon naman ang uutangin­ sa domestic sources katulad ng Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), at mga  government-controlled corporations.

Sinabi pa ni Dominguez na ang natitirang P13.2 bilyon ay maa­aring kunin sa mga bilateral sources.

“Tapos magne-negotiate pa po tayo sa mga bilateral sources depende sa source ng depende sa source ng vaccine, either­ England or US or whoever. And ang target po namin doon around 13.2 billion pesos. So ang total niyan is about 73.2 billion financing that it’s pretty much it’s almost fixed. Most of it is already fixed, 13.2 billion hindi pa completely negotiated. So 73.2 billion pesos,” sabi ni Dominguez.

Ayon pa kay Dominguez, aabot sa $25 bawat tao ang presyo ng bakuna.
