VP Robredo ‘di cabinet member - Duterte
MANILA, Philippines — Hindi itinalaga ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Vice President Leni Robredo bilang miyembro ng kanyang gabinete kundi bilang co-chair ng Inter-Agency Committee Against Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
Ito ang nilinaw ni Pangulong Duterte sa isang exclusive interview ng GMA News noong Biyernes sa Davao City.
“She is not a member of the cabinet. I have not appointed her as a cabinet member. You know why? Early on she was talking right and left that she would talk to this and talk to that. In the Cabinet meeting, we talk about what’s happening eh kung marinig n’yan d’yan tapos dadaldal niya sa labas,” paliwanag ni Pangulong Duterte.
Una na ring binalaan ni Pangulong Duterte si Robredo na sisibakin niya ito bilang drug czar kapag ipinamigay niya ang mga state secrets sa mga foreign individual o organizations na kinakausap nito.
“There’s a limit to that. I hope that, she’s a lawyer and she has the adviser that there are certain matters that should be kept with the govt that classified matters cannot be shared. Once she does that, she’s out. I will fire her because you jeopardize the security of the state. For she cannot just ask anything from the military or the police the law enforcement kasi may mga bagay d’yan na hindi talaga dapat para sa publiko,” dagdag pa ni Pangulong Duterte.
Ilang ulit sinabi ng Malacañang na inalok ng Pangulo si Robredo na maging drug czar na may cabinet rank pero nilinaw ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo na kapag walang kinalaman sa illegal drugs ang nasa agenda ay hindi na kailangang dumalo sa cabinet meeting ang bise-presidente.
