MANILA, Philippines – How time flies talaga, Salve A..

Can you believe na our beloved PM (Pang Masa) has been in the market, kumbaga, for 11 long years na. And in those 11 years, siyempre ‘di na natin ma-count how many showbiz personalities, mostly movie and TV stars and occasionally directors and producers, ang naisulat na natin.

And how many kaya among them ang gumawa ng paraan na makapag-thank you, kung naisulat natin ng maganda? Pero may ilan din na kung hindi man harapan, deep inside them, ay ganun na lang ang galit sa atin.

Naalala tuloy namin ang isang artistang both popular sa TV at pelikula na madalas isinusulat namin ng maganda, but never bothered to acknowledge our kagandahang loob. But one day, nang kinanti namin, hayan at nagwala.

In these long year as well, naging saksi tayo, Salve A., of the many showbiz personalities na sumikat at lumubog, sumikat muli, at muling lumubog, this time never to surface again.

I-cite natin ang isang dating maganda at sexy bold actess na talaga namang may karapatan (in her time) mang-isnab. Kaso, she got blinded because of her big earnings, not to say, fame and popularity. Kaya obvious na feeling niya, she owns the world at kayang mang-isnab ng kahit sino.

No need to tell you where she is now. Halos, mamalimos siya sa mga producer para magkaroon man lang ng kahit maiksing role sa isang TV show. Lalo na ng pelikula.

And whatever na mga material na bagay, inclu­­­d­ing a plush residence in a plush subdivision, na kanyang na-acquire from her earnings ay pawang mga nawalang parang bula.

Bale ba, even her mga kamag-anak, pati kanyang mga anak, na dati’y sa kanya umaasa, abandoned her, totally, ha. Kaya what more her friends?

We could cite more, wika nga, but we’d rather not. Why would we chose to insult people na nakadapa na, again, kumbaga.

But we hope, kung anuman itong naisulat namin about said personalities, sana our current crop of stars na kasalukuyang namamayagpag, especially the young ones, will learn from it.

Mag-ipon sila at makisama. Dalawa itong unique assets na mapapakinabangan nila pagdating ng araw.

Maraming salamat sa mga haligi ng showbiz industry

Now who are the showbiz personalities, Salve A., na aming na-encounter in all these years na nagsusulat kami, aside, of course, the one and only King of Philippine Movies, who, until his death, remained well-loved ‘di lang ng kanyang pamilya, kundi ng masa.

To us entertainment writers, pinagaan niya ang trabaho. He is never the type of actors na magdadalawang-isip kang inter­b­yuhin dahil he happens to be popular.

Where pakikisama is concerned, he truly was best. Isa siya sa pinaka-thoughtful na actor.

We will never forget, FPJ (Fernando Poe, Jr.) especially in our prayers.

Another memorable icon in showbiz for us is the late Dolphy. Although to his fans and followers, he will be best remembered for the laughter he showered everyone, courtesy of the many comedy movies he has produced and starred in. For the entertainment writing industry, he is one every actor, young and old, should emulate.

Aga Muhlach is another actor na patuloy na iimprinta namin sa aming puso, ‘di lang dahil we work closely with him, kundi magaling siyang makisama.

Sana nga, he will rush na makapagbawas ng timbang para muli niyang mai-contribute sa film industry ang kanyang talent at magandang pakikisama.

Hindi na kailangang sabihin pa that we miss Senator Bong Revilla’s presence sa showbiz,  lalo’t where the entertainment writers are concerned.

His presence, lalo’t tuwing Christmas, makes a big difference, actually not just among us entertainment writers, kundi lalo sa mga maliliit sa industry.

Let’s all keep praying na makalaya na siya. Para masabi nating truly happy days are here again.

We cannot count the number of times we have worked closely with Charo Santos-Cancio, now President and CEO of ABS-CBN.

She is one Boss na you feel lucky na nakatrabaho mo. At napagsilbihan.

From her, one learns the quality of tunay na pakikisama.

How sad na ‘di na as active as they used to be sina Donna Villa and Direk Carlo J. Caparas sa showbiz. Nakaka-miss ang desisyon nila to cease producing films.

Every activity nila was well-appreciated, especially by the entertainment press.

Salamat kay Direk Lauren Dyogi, now a top gun sa ABS-CBN, for having remained as good and champion sa pakikisama, the way na nakilala namin siya when he directed Aga and Kristine Hermosa in All My Life, A Star Cinema production.

Thanks to Direk Lauren, too, for the many talents he has produced via the program, Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
