Ramos, Peralta bumuhat ng tig-3 golds

Sa Asian Youth and Junior Championships

MANILA, Philippines — Anim na gintong me­dalya ang binuhat nina Rosegie Ramos at Jhodie Peralta sa patuloy na pag-iingay ng Team Philippines sa 2023 Asian Youth and Junior Championships sa New Delhi, India.

Nagposte ang 19-an­yos na si Ramos ng 83 kilos sa snatch, 99 kilos sa clean and jerk at total lift na 182 kilos para angkinin ang tatlong gold sa women’s junior 49-kilogram division.

Bumandera naman ang 19-anyos na si Peralta sa women’s youth 49kg sa kanyang mga panalo sa snatch (73 kilos), clean and jerk (87 kilos) at total lift (160 kilos).

Humakot ang national youth at junior team ng 16 gold, 10 silver at 4 bronze medals sa Asian Youth at Junior Championships.

Nakatakda pang lu­maban sina two-time Southeast Asian Games champion Vanessa Sarno sa women’s youth 71kg, Christian Rodriguez sa men’s youth 67kg at Lovely Inan sa women’s 49kg.

Nagbigay naman ng dalawang ginto si Albert Ian Delos Santos sa men’s youth 61 kilos category mula sa kanyang panalo sa clean and jerk sa binuhat niyang 148 kilos at total lift na 158 kilos.

Nag-ambag si Rose Jean Ramos ng isang gold sa junior 45kg.

Ang iba pang nagbulsa ng ginto ay sina Prince Keil delos Santos (total, Youth men’s 49kg), Eros Borres (clean and jerk, Youth men’s 49kg) at Alexsandra Diaz (snatch, women’s 40kg).
