National teams sa ‘Calambubble’ nasusunod ang protocols

MANILA, Philippines — Nasa ikatlong linggo na sa kanilang ‘bubble’ training ang mga national teams ng boxing, taekwondo at karatedo sa Inspire Sports Academy sa Calamba, Laguna.

Ayon kay Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chief of Staff at PSI National Training Director Marc Edward Velasco, wala pang anumang kaso ng mga national athletes at coaches na nagpopositibo sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“They’re entering their third week. So far wala naman tayong na-experience na untoward incidents. Wala ring nag-positive (sa COVID-19),” wika ni Velasco.

Unang pumasok ang national team ng boxing na pinamumunuan ni Olympic Games-bound Irish Magno noong Enero 15 na sinundan ng national squads ng taekwondo at karatedo.

Pinayagan ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ang ‘bubble’ training ng tatlong koponan bilang preparasyon sa 2021 Olympics sa Tokyo, Japan sa Hulyo at sa 31st Southeast Asian Games sa Hanoi, Vietnam sa Nobyembre.

Sinabi ni Velasco na patuloy na minomonitor ng PSC ang mga national boxers, taekwondo jins at karatekas sa ‘Calambubble’.

“Psychologically, we are still monitoring them,” ani Velasco sa mga national athletes.
