Delizo at Cruz pinamunuan ang mga PSL MOS awardees
MANILA, Philippines — Binanderahan nina Joco Miguelle Delizo ng Tarlac City Waves at Diana Celyn Cruz ng Eastern Aquatic ang mga Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awardees sa Class A ng 164th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series – 1st Susan Papa Unity Cup na ginanap sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.
Humakot si Delizo ng 27 points sa boys’ 15-over division, habang nakalikom si Cruz ng 18 points upang masungkit ang MOS sa girls’ 14-year category.
Nagparamdam din ng puwersa sina veteran international campaigners Marc Bryan Dula ng Masville National High School-Parañaque (boys’ 12-year) at Triza Haileyana Tabamo ng Tarlac City Waves (girls’ 12-year) na nanguna sa kani-kanilang dibisyon.
Nagningning din ang magkapatid na sina Hannah White (girls’ 6-under) at Ruben White (boys’ 14-year) gayundin sina Sophia Rose Garra ng Diliman Preparatory School (girls’ 7-year) at Jude Gapultos ng Tarlac City Waves (boys’ 8-year).
“We’re thankful for another successful edition of the PSL National Series. We will continue searching for talented young swimmers in the other parts of the country. We want to give them a chance to be part of the PSL Team that will be competing in international tournaments this year,” wika ni PSL president Alexandre Papa.
Ang iba pang MOS winners sa girls’ division ay sina Sophia Venice Canonizado ng Zambales Bluesharks (8), Suzanne Himor ng TYR Philippines (15-over), sina Aquariors bets Benylde Urquico (11) at Manuelle Louise Perez (13), at sina Cainta Alpha Dragons tankers Maria Zabelle Eugenio (9), Jada Corrine Cruz (10).
Namayagpag naman sa boys’ class sina Matt Zyrus Ramirez ng Umih (6-under), Kevin Bryle Chan ng De La Salle-Araneta (9), James Rey Ajido ng Eastern Aquatic (10), at sina Aquariors swimmers Red Reyes (11) at Sean Azores (13).
“Our main goal is to identify talents as early as possible for them to have a solid program in preparation for our international competitions. We will give them proper exposure to upgrade their standards,” ani Papa.
