Simula na ang aksyon sa1st Susan Papa Unity Cup

MANILA, Philippines — Tuloy ang pagtuklas ng mga bagitong mahuhusay na swimmers sa pag-arangkada ng 164th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Series – 1st Susan Papa Unity Cup bukas sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.

Itataguyod ang torneo bilang pag-alaala sa yumaong PSL president na si coach Susan Papa na siyang nagpasimula ng magandang grassroots development program ng asosasyon.

Ang torneo ay magsisilbi ring qualifying meet para sa mga nagnanais maging bahagi ng pambansang delegasyon na ipadadala sa mga international competitions sa Japan, United Arab Emirates at Singapore.

“The Philippine Swimming League continues its grassroots development program not only in Metro Manila but also in different parts of the country, We hope to find more talents outside of Manila, we will continue the search have give more swimmers opportunities to compete in international competition,” pahayag ni PSL President Alexandre Papa.

Paglalabanan ang gintong medalya sa 6-under, 7-year, 8-year, 9-year, 10-year, 11-year, 12-year, 13-year, 14-year at 15-over sa boys at girls kung saan ang mangungunang mga tan­kers sa bawat kategorya ay gagawaran ng kani-kanilang Most Outstanding Swimmer awards.

Mahigit 600 tankers na ang nagkumpirma ng partisipasyon mula sa Quezon City para sa one-day meet.

Kabilang sa mga kopo-nang lalahok ang mga pambato ng General Santos City, Dipolog City, Aklan, Iloilo, Cebu, Davao City, Legazpi City, Bataan, Batangas at iba pang koponan mula sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao.

“It’s the legacy of my sister Susan and I know she’s happy that someone’s continuing her program. We would like to thank all those who have extended their support,” ani Papa.
