UST nabawi ang general championships
MANILA, Philippines — Muling napasakamay ng University of Santo Tomas ang general championship sa UAAP Season 81 - ang kanilang ika-43 overall championship title sa liga.
Walang nakatibag sa Growling Tigers sa No. 1 position tangan ang kabuuang 282 puntos.
Nagkampeon ang UST sa beach volleyball (men at women), judo (men at women), table tennis (men at women) at women’s athletics habang pumangalawa ito sa men, women at poomsae ng taekwondo, women’s fencing at softball at women’s volleyball at pumangatlo sa women’s football, women’s basketball, men’s swimming at men’s tennis.
Pumangalawa lamang ang La Salle na may 260 puntos habang umangat sa No. 3 ang Ateneo para saluhan ang University of the Philippines hawak ang parehong 237 puntos.
Nanguna ang La Salle sa women’s football, women’s chess, poomsae at baseball, at runner-up trophies sa men’s football, women’s beach volley, men’s swimming, women’s table tennis, women’s tennis at men’s fencing.
May third-place ang La Salle sa women’s taekwondo, softball, women’s badminton at women’s swimming.
Nagawang makahabol ng Ateneo sa ranking matapos masungkit ang korona sa women’s volleyball.
Nagwagi rin ng ginto ang Ateneo sa men’s football, men’s basketball, men at women’s swimming, women’s badminton at women’s fencing.
Nasa ikalima ang NU (196) kasunod ang UE (142), FEU(145) at Adamson University (116).
