Ahedres Pilipinas palalawakin pa
MANILA, Philippines — Dahil sa matagumpay nilang inaugural rapid chess team tournament noong Mayo 12 ay plano ng Ahedres Pilipinas na magdaos pa ng mas maraming torneo ngayong taon.
Prayoridad ng Ahedres Pilipinas ang pagkakaroon ng international invitational tournament para makatulong sa mga local players na makakuha ng exposure at dagdag na international ratings.
“Ahedres Pilipinas is looking at a bigger picture now, especially after the success of our initial endeavor only last Sunday,” wika ni Ahedres Pilipinas founder WIM Christy Laniel Bernales sa 22nd ‘Usapang Sports” of the Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) sa National Press Club sa Intramuros.
Samantala, inihayag nina Bernales at Flores ang resulta ng unang rapid chess team tournament.
Nagkampeon ang Orbe Team-A ng Narquingel at sina Narquingden Reyes, Jaime Criste at lawyer Cliburn Anthony Orbe.
Tinalo ng Orbe Team-A ang Team Larry-A, 2-5.1.5 sa final round para pamahalaan ang seven-round tournament sa kanilang total 19 match points at ibulsa ang premyong P30,000.
