Gregorio head coach na ng Purefoods

-

"First of all, I am very thankful to Mr. Ramon and Mr. Danding Co-juangco for the trust and confidence they have given me," paunang sambit ng 36 anyos na dating UP Maroon member at naging coach sapul pa noong 1997.

"I am also thankful for this opportunity to help provide jobs for ex-PBA players and help in the marketing program of San Miguel through basketball," ani Altamirano na isa sa naging assistant coach ni Jong Uichico sa Philippine Team na lumahok sa Busan Asian Games.

"Maybe it’s time for me to expand my horizon beyond coaching, that’s why I’m passing the baton to Ryan (Gregorio)" dagdag pa ni Altamirano na naging miyembro din ng 1986 RP National Team Seoul Asian Games.

"I have given the team a championship. I believe he’s (Ryan) ready for the coaching job. I’ve mentored him very well and I’m confident he can continue the winning tradition of the team," pahayag ni Alta-mirano na unang nag-coach sa Purefoods noong 1997 bago lumipat sa Mobiline at nagbalik muli sa Purefoods noong 2001.

"It’s a new program which is actually still vague to me. But the concept is to provide jobs to those players who have become jobless and use them to promote the San Miguel products. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone," ani Altamirano.
