Celebrating the big change

MANILA, Philippines - Top buy-and-sell website Sulit.com.ph and its executives invited special guests recently to celebrate what they hailed as the big change — the Sulit.com.ph website is now OLX Philippines.

The event started with a presentation of the company’s history, achievements and brand philosophy while guests were welcomed by OLX Philippines’ RJ and Arianne David, founders of the Sulit website. A TVC presentation shortly followed where two housewives were shown excited to sell pre-loved household stuff online.

RJ said, “Filipinos do not have much of a tradition of selling their second-hand stuff that’s why most households end up with a clutter of items that are no longer used. If sold, these can turn into real value and help them earn additional cash.” He added that since it’s fast and easy to sell on OLX Philippines, they’re confident it will attract the next one million Filipinos who will sell their second-hand items online.

Despite the rebranding, OLX Philippines will still be managed by the same local team that has been serving the Sulit users since its launch in 2006. Existing members are not required to register on OLX.ph nor do they need to repost their active ads. Those who log in through Sulit.com.ph will automatically get redirected to their new URL, OLX.ph.

(The OLX app is now available for download on Android and iOS.)
