Emulate Angel’s act

The Philippine Star

Our political leaders should emulate actress Angel Locsin for doing charity work for Filipinos.

On Nov. 1, a day after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Tulunan, Cotabato, the actress was seen in Davao City buying relief goods for the victims of the earthquake.

This is not the first time that Ms. Locsin shared her blessings. Before, she also distributed foods and school supplies to those affected by the Marawi siege.

In 2013, the actress donated her 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle to ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. for the benefit of the victim-survivors of typhoon Yolanda.

In September this year, instead of attending a TV station’s prestigious event, she donated a sum of money to an organization which aims to protect disadvantaged and at-risk children.

It is admirable that Ms. Locsin does what she does without any camera or fanfare.

Indeed, Angel is such an angel. – Leonard Kristian Mesa Gelacio, #7 Jose Lucas St., San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela
