COLUMNISTS/COMMENTATORS. The lady president of a business corporation said during free-wheeling after-dinner discussion of Phl economic problems: “Pinoy newspaper columnists and radio commentators all over the country have the solutions to our social and economic problems.”

PUBLIC OFFICE. She said she read a lot of columns and listened to a lot of radio commentaries and wondered why not one of her favorite columnists and commentators ran for public office “to help us solve our problems.” Our Ear informer who heard her said: “Was she kidding?”
