MANILA, Philippines - The Board of Inquiry (BOI) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) shared its findings on the Mamasapano clash during the separate inquiries of the Senate and House of Representatives.

PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and BOI chair Benjamin Magalong discussed the targets of the operation and the PNP Special Action Force's Oplan Exodus.

The objective of the operation was to arrest Malaysian bomb-maker Zulkifli Bin Hir, alias Marwan, and Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter leader Abdul Basit Usman.

 

 

The report was based on 374 interviews, 318 sworn statements, SMS and call logs, special reports submitted by the PNP-SAF, local police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
