American shot dead in Negros Oriental

BACOLOD CITY , Philippines – A 73-year-old American was shot dead inside his house in Sibulan, Negros Oriental on Sunday, police said.

According to investigators, the American and a 34-year-old woman were watching television in their living room when three masked men entered their house in Barangay Ajong.

One of the men allegedly drew a gun and shot the American in the head.

The three suspects, who were wearing bonnets, reportedly left the woman unharmed.

Police, who responded to the shooting alarm, said they found the American lying lifeless on the sofa.

They asked Scene of the Crime operatives to help in the forensic examination as investigators continue with their probe to identify and arrest the suspects.
