Bank card thief nabbed

MANILA, Philippines — A Chinese traveler, age 58, has been arrested for stealing the debit and GCash cards of his seatmate on a flight from Bangkok to Manila.
After requesting a seat transfer due to the suspect’s misbehavior, the victim discovered that bank cards were missing from his bag.
The cabin crew witnessed the suspect trying to return the cards by inserting them into the back pocket of the victim’s pants.
Police apprehended the suspect on July 4 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Theft charges will be filed against the suspect.
Meanwhile, a 41-year-old Filipina bound for Dubai was arrested at the airport on charges of large-scale estafa and illegal recruitment.
Authorities intercepted the passenger after immigration officers found that there is a warrant for her arrest.
The suspect was turned over to police.
