UP faculty, employees to get mid-year bonus
MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines (UP) will release the mid-year bonus for its faculty and employees next week.
In a memorandum dated May 2, UP vice president for administration Augustus Resurreccion approved the release of the cash incentive for full and part-time UP faculty and staff members.
“Qualified UP faculty and staff members will receive bonus equivalent to one month’s salary, exclusive of allowances and other compensation. This covers permanent, temporary, casual and contractual employees,” the university said.
The cash incentive will be distributed starting May 15.
Under the memorandum, employees who have rendered at least four months of service from July 2023 to May 2024 are entitled to the mid-year bonus.
Employees with a “satisfactory performance rating” from July to December 2023 as well as UP personnel on full-time scholarships will also receive the bonus.
