MANILA, Philippines — Despite their hectic schedule, President Marcos and First Lady Liza Marcos watched the concert of legendary American singer-songwriter James Taylor in Pasay City on Monday.

The First Lady posted on Facebook photos of their date night at the Mall of Asia Arena captioned, “An evening with James Taylor.”

In a media interview in Bacolod City on Monday, the President said he has missed two dates with his wife.

“I have missed two dates. So I need to make it up to her when I come back from the States,” Marcos said, adding in jest that he was already receiving silent treatment from his wife because of that.

The First Couple had also watched the concert of British band Coldplay at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan last January.

Marcos left for the US yesterday afternoon for a trilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The Marcoses reportedly developed flu-like symptoms after a working visit to Berlin, Germany and a state visit to Prague, Czech Republic last month.
