2 killed in Zamboanga City gun attacks

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Two traders were killed in separate shooting incidents in this city on Saturday.

The victims were identified as Jainal Mahadali, 37, of Barangay Recodo, and Nuridjam Mohammad, 63, of Barangay Arena Blanco.

Mahadali was in his truck parked along Darussalam Drive when a man on a motorcycle shot him several times at past 4 p.m. He died while being treated in a hospital.

The incident was captured by a closed-circuit television camera installed in the area.

Probers said personal grudge could be the motive for the killing.

Meanwhile, Mohammad was found bloodied with four gunshot wounds in her house. She was declared dead on arrival in a hospital.

Police recovered five bullet shells for a 9mm pistol at the crime scene.
