Davao lawmakers thank President Marcos, Romualdez for aiding flood victims

MANILA, Philippines — Lawmakers from Davao have thanked President Marcos and Speaker Martin Romualdez for continuously sending aid to flood victims in the region, including the endorsement of P150 million in cash aid and 51,000 food packs.

They are Davao Oriental Reps. Nelson Dayanghirang and Cheeno Almario, Davao del Norte Rep. Aldu Dujali, Davao de Oro Rep. Maricar Zamora and PBA party-list  Rep. Migs Nograles. Davao del Norte Vice Gov. Oyo Uy also expressed gratitude.

The lawmakers said the assistance to Davao flood victims contextualizes the Bagong Pilipinas campaign of the Marcos administration, which focuses on an all-inclusive plan for economic and social transformation for citizens, and brings the government closer to the people.

All the lawmakers’ districts will receive cash assistance of P20 million each.

The office of the vice governor will receive P10 million under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. It also received food packs from the offices of Romualdez and Tingog party-list Reps. Yedda Romualdez and Jude Acidre.
