MANILA, Philippines — Two persons were arrested after they allegedly stole cable wires owned by telecommunications firm Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. in Quezon City on Wednesday.
Cedrick Darado, 19, and Joseph Manalo, 18, were apprehended in Barangay Central, accoding to Quezon City Police District director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III.
Torre said policemen were patrolling Kalayaan Avenue when they spotted the suspects cutting cable wires along Malamig street.
Seized from them were 42.5 meters of cables and a steel hacksaw.
Charges of violating Republic Act 10515 or the Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act are being readied against the suspects.
