P5.1 million shabu seized in Laguna
LAGUNA, Philippines — Shabu with an estimated street value of P5.1 million was seized from a drug suspect following a sting in Santa Rosa City in this province over the weekend.
Joemar Demandante, 40, was collared after he reportedly sold an undetermined amount of shabu to undercover agents along the Santa Rosa-Tagaygay road in Barangay Sto. Domingo.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the local police said they seized 750 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P5.1 million from Demandante.
Meanwhile, in Zambales, alleged drug den operator Albert Farrales and his companions Laurence Callo and Ronnie Crisostomo were arrested following a raid in Barangay del Pilar, Castillejos.
Police said they seized from the suspects five plastic sachets containing shabu with an estimated street value of P138,000 as well as drug paraphernalia and marked money.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects, police said.
