P5.7 million marijuana seized in Kalinga  

SAN FERNANDO, La Union, Philippines —  Marijuana bricks, leaves and stalks worth P5.7 million were confiscated in Barangay Cagalwan in Pasil, Kalinga yesterday.

Capt. Raffy Manganip, Kalinga police deputy community relations officer, said Albert Dugwagi, 29, the driver of the van where the illegal drugs were found, was arrested.

Police said Dugwagi initially evaded a checkpoint in Barangay Dinacan in Lubuagan town, prompting pursuit operations.
