7 nabbed in Baguio drug den

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Seven persons were arrested after the local police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) raided a suspected drug den in this city on Sunday afternoon.

Police identified the suspects as Norben Ablania, Norilyn Bayawoc, Jacky Bernardino, Nhap Gilbert Duyan, Thum Claude Gadang, Lyca Kimmayong and Maribel Ofiana.

Authorities reportedly recovered from the scene 600 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated market value of P72,000, six plastic sachets containing shabu worth P6,800 and drug parapharnelia.

The property, located in Barangay Qurino Hill, was reportedly the fourth den that authorities raided since July this year, according to Gil Castro, chief of the PDEA-Cordillera.
