SK chairman, mayor’s son held for drugs
MANILA, Philippines — A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman was arrested in a drug sting in Manukan, Zamboanga del Norte on Wednesday.
Mark Anthony Kintanar, 24, SK chairman of Barangay Saluyong, was caught with three grams of shabu worth P20,400 in Barangay Linay, Zamboanga peninsula police information chief Ma. Shellamie Chang said.
In Negros Occidental, a son of Mayor Marilyn Era of Calatrava and his two companions were arrested in Barangay 6 in San Carlos City.
Police said Nestor Era Jr., 40, and Rosalia Nemenzo were arrested after Chito Atienza, 46, who was the subject of the sting, tagged the two as drug users.
Fifteen grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P102,000, were reportedly recovered from the suspects. – Gilbert Bayoran
