2 ‘NPA leaders’ nabbed

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Two alleged ranking members of the New People’s Army (NPA) operating in Southern Tagalog were arrested in Pasay City yesterday morning.

Ernesto Lorenzo and Rosita Celino-Serrano are reportedly key officials of the NPA’s Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee, according to Brig. Gen. Antonio Yarra, Calabarzon police director.

The suspects, together with a woman whose identity is being verified, were waiting to be vaccinated against COVID at the Nayong Pilipino when police officers spotted them.
