COVID-19 cases in PNP down to 5
MANILA, Philippines — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police has dropped to five, the PNP reported yesterday.
Police logged zero cases of COVID-19 yesterday while three PNP personnel previously infected with the virus have recovered.
On March 6 and 13, the PNP did not register cases of COVID-19 among its ranks.
A total of 128 PNP members have died of COVID-19 since the pandemic started in 2020.
The PNP’s vaccination drive remains on track with 221,725 police personnel fully vaccinated while 143,016 have received their booster shots.
At least 612 police officers remain unvaccinated and 321 refused to take COVID jabs without valid reasons.
The remaining 292 PNP members failed to get vaccinated due to underlying medical conditions.
