BOC seizes P175 million smuggled goods

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) confiscated various smuggled goods with an estimated market value of P175 million in separate operations in Valenzuela, Manila and Rizal province on March 11.

In a statement yesterday, the BOC said its personnel confiscated counterfeit goods valued at P110 million at a warehouse in Binondo, Manila; P15 million worth of red and yellow onions, mung beans, garlic and other produce at a warehouse in Punturin, Valenzuela City and P50 million worth of frozen chicken, beef, pork, sausages, butter and other foodstuff in Taytay, Rizal.
