P3.4 million shabu seized, suspect killed in North Cotabato sting

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives seized methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million from a suspected drug pusher killed in a sting in this town on Wednesday.

Naravy Duquiatan, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Soccsksargen director, said Jacky Guimba fired at PDEA agents and personnel of the Midsayap police when he sensed he had transacted with undercover agents.

Duquiatan said a .45-caliber pistol and a Honda RS motorcycle were among those recovered from the fatality.

Guimba, a resident of Barangay Pamalian in Shariff Saidona Mustapha town in Maguindanao, was tagged in the distribution of shabu in North Cotabato and Maguindanao.
