NCRPO nabs 7 drug suspects
MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P1.9 million worth of drugs was confiscated from seven suspects during separate anti-narcotics operations in Metro Manila over the weekend, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported yesterday.
Members of the Valenzuela police arrested Adrian Marquez, who allegedly yielded shabu amounting to P102,000 on Saturday.
In Novaliches, Quezon City, police apprehended Agosto Boromeo, Grace Raquiza and Jaymart Marcial.
Police said they recoverered from the suspects P374,000 worth of drugs.
The NCRPO seized shabu worth P748,000 from Veronica Villena, 28, during a sting in Quiapo, Manila.
Jalanie Camulo and Sittie Pindatun were nabbed for alleged possession of shabu amounting to P680,000 in Muntinlupa City.
The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
