Cop on quarantine shoots self

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A police officer undergoing quarantine for COVID died after he accidentally shot himself in Nueva Ecija on Sunday.

S/Sgt. Reynante Menia, 43, died at the scene from a gunshot to the head. He was reportedly cleaning his 9mm pistol when the gun went off.

Menia was undergoing quarantine at the Ospital ng Lungsod ng San Jose City after he tested positive for COVID on Oct. 8.
