Woman nabbed in Nueva Ecija for forging COVID-19 documents

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines — A woman suspected of falsifying travel documents and permits as well as COVID-19 results was arrested in Nueva Ecija on Monday night.

Reports reaching Col. Rhoderick Campo of the Nueva Ecija police said Lorna Tambalo was apprehended in an entrapment after five residents of San Jose City were arrested in Pinili, Ilocos Norte for presenting falsified travel documents allegedly provided by the suspect.

The forged documents include travel permits from the San Jose police and office of the mayor as well as antigen swab test results.

Police said assorted falsified documents, an EPSON printer, a laptop and marked money were recovered from the suspect.
