MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) will implement a no disconnection policy anew in areas under enhanced community quarantine and modified ECQ to help ease the burden on its customers, an official said yesterday.

Meralco said it is suspending disconnection activities in Laguna, which is under MECQ, from Aug. 1 to 15 and in the National Capital Region, which will be under ECQ from Aug. 6 to 20.

The company urged its customers to reach out regarding billing and payment concerns.
