Manila releases P51 M for seniors’ allowance

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has released P51 million for the monthly allowance of the city’s senior citizens.

Around P47 million would be allocated for the updated senior citizens’ list from January to December 2020 while P3.974 million would be released for newly tallied senior citizens of Manila, he said yesterday.

“We really want to return the money to the people especially now that they are in need,” Moreno said.
