3 dead in Nueva Ecija drug sting

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Three drug suspects were killed in a sting in Barangay La Torre in Talavera, Nueva Ecija on Tuesday night.

Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno identified the fatalities as Danilo Botones, Roland Maniquiz and Leo Angeles.

Bruno said the suspects opened fire when they sensed they had sold shabu to undercover agents.

A caliber .45 pistol, two caliber .38 revolvers and marked money were reportedly recovered from the fatalities.
