2 LSIs robbed at quarantine facility

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines — Two locally stranded individuals were robbed at knifepoint at a quarantine facility in Carmen, Agusan del Norte on Wednesday.

A police report said the victims lost P27,000 in cash, two mobile phones and jewelry to a man wearing a ski mask who entered their room at around 2 a.m.

The victims reportedly went out of the facility to seek assistance as there was no security personnel at the time.

Town police chief Maj. Jennifer Omiter said the caretaker of the quarantine facility, who was on leave during the incident, was held for questioning.
