3 caught with P15 million marijuana

MANILA, Philippines — An estimated P15 million worth of marijuana was confiscated yesterday from three suspects during a drug sting in Quezon City.

Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) arrested Dianne Irene Cambalicer, Louie Mark Cuerdo and Angelo Buenaventura along EDSA in Balintawak at around 7:40 a.m.

Anti-narcotics agents said they recovered from the suspects 128 blocks of marijuana weighing around 128 kilos.

The contraband was brought to the DEG office at Camp Came in Quezon City.

The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
