P13.6 million shabu seized

MANILA, Philippines — Around two kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of P13.6 million were confiscated from a drug suspect in Makati on Wednesday afternoon.

Asrainie Bolao was apprehended during a sting conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Pio Del Pilar at around 5:30 p.m.

PDEA spokesman Derrick Carreon said Bolao has been under surveillance for her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

A narcotics agent who posed as a buyer arrested Bolao after she accepted the marked money in exchange for a pack of shabu.

The suspect was detained at the PDEA headquarters in Quezon City on charges of drug trafficking.
