PNP, MMC Foundation sign agreement

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police has beefed up its efforts to ensure the health and welfare of PNP personnel as the country is grappling with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

PNP chief Gen. Camilo Cascolan and the Makati Medical Center Foundation Inc. headed by chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan inked an agreement, which aims to ensure the health of police officers.

The signing of the agreement witnessed by top police officials was held at the PLDT Building in Makati.

A total of 4,837 police personnel have contracted COVID-19 with 16 deaths. Of the number, 16 have died of the disease.
