SAN CARLOS CITY, Pangasinan, Philippines — A nine-year-old girl died after she was bitten by a snake at their house in Barangay Talang in this city over the weekend.
Rhea dela Cruz died while being treated at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital, hospital director Aurelio Cariño said.
In an interview over Balitang Amianan on GMA 7’s regional television network, the victim’s mother, Evangeline, said the snake came out from their cabinet as her daughter opened it to get her school uniform.
The kind of snake that attacked the girl has yet to be determined.
