4 drug suspects killed
MANILA, Philippines — Four drug suspects were killed in Cagayan, Batangas and Bulacan in the past two days.
Ricardo Bolito and his unidentified companion were killed in a drug bust in Barangay Sto. Cristo, San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan yesterday.
On Monday, Rogie Canapi, 35, allegedly refused to pull over at a checkpoint in Barangay Dassun, Solana, Cagayan and shot it out with police officers.
Police said four sachets of shabu and the motorcycle used by the slain suspect, believed to be stolen, were recovered.
In Batangas, Aida Closa, 59, was shot at close range by two men who barged into her house in Barangay Alangilam, Batangas City.
Col. Edwin Quilates, Batangas police director, said Closa was ranked eighth on the list of “high-value” drug suspects in the province.
