Teen caught with P3-million shabu in in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested yesterday a teenage boy who allegedly yielded over P3 million worth of shabu in Quezon City.
Omar Ampaso Sultan, 19, was nabbed during a drug sting along Sto. Niño street in Barangay Holy Spirit at around 1 p.m.
PDEA National Capital Region director Joel Plaza said they recovered from Sultan an estimated 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million.
Plaza said Sultan was on the drug watchlist of the PDEA.
Police apprehended five more suspects in separate anti-narcotics operations in Quezon City.
Members of the Cubao police arrested Emmanuel Bautista for alleged possession of five sachets of shabu during a sting along West Point street in Barangay E. Rodriguez.
Suspected drug pushers CJ Ducado and James Casimiro, 19, were collared after they allegedly yielded 60 grams of marijuana along Quirino Highway in Barangay Bagbag.
Police said they confiscated from the suspects P4,500 worth of marijuana kept in ziplocks, a cell phone and the marked money.
In Barangay San Roque, John Ray Escondida, 20, was nabbed for alleged possesion of dried marijuana leaves.
Drug suspect Wilmark Barboso was arrested at a police checkpoint along A. Bonifacio Avenue in Barangay NS Amoranto.
The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
