Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Robbers killed an employee of a junk shop and carted away P2.065 million in cash in Quezon City on Monday.

The victim, truck driver Roxan Magno, 25, and his co-worker Darwin Vianzon, 36, had just arrived at the junkshop at past noon with around P2 million they had withdrawn from a bank when the robbers appeared, police said.

One of the robbers drew a handgun and took Vianzon’s sling bag containing P65,000 in cash.

As Vianzon ran for safety, the robbers took Magno’s backpack containing P2 million in cash and shot him in the neck.

Magno was declared dead on arrival at the Fairview General Hospital.

Probers retrieved a bullet casing at the scene.
