Man stabs wife to death in Quezon City
MANILA, Philippines — A man said to be mentally ill stabbed dead his wife following an argument in Quezon City on Sunday night.
Romulo Cacao, 42, was arrested over the killing of his wife, Marrian, at their house along Imperial street in Barangay E. Rodriguez at around 10:35 p.m.
Superintendent Giovanni Caliao, Cubao police station commander, said the couple got into an argument after Marrian told the suspect to go the hospital for a checkup regarding his mental illness.
Police said Cacao got irked and stabbed the victim in the chest with a kitchen knife.
The victim was rushed to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center where she was declared dead on arrival.
Cacao was brought to the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City, police said.
