50 arrested in raids on 4 Quezon City drug dens
MANILA, Philippines — A simultaneous raid on four drug dens in Quezon City led to the arrest of at least 50 persons on Sunday night.
The operation on four residences allegedly being used as drug dens in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa was conducted by anti-narcotics operatives of the Quezon City Police District and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
A sting led to the arrest of alleged drug pushers Zenaida Masdo, 58, and Alma Lopez, 41, and nine others caught using methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu in a house on Libra street in Sitio San Roque.
Thirteen other suspects were arrested at a house along Aries street in the same barangay.
A 17-year-old boy was rescued after he was caught in a shabu session along with 11 other suspects at a nearby house along Aries street.
Fifteen persons were caught using drugs when police raided two shanties in Sitio San Roque.
Thirty-four sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized during the raids.
