Rape suspect jumps to death in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — A 38-year-old man accused of raping a four-year-old girl died yesterday after allegedly jumping from the third floor of the Manila city hall building on Friday.

Barangay 286 watchmen arrested Ryan Marasigan after the girl complained he molested her on Friday. Manila Police District Station 11 personnel took Marasigan to the city hall’s third floor for inquest proceedings at around 6 p.m.

Marasigan died from head injuries at the Ospital ng Maynila at around 9 a.m. yesterday, police said.
