MANILA, Philippines — Three alleged drug personalities, a suspected robber and two other persons were gunned down in separate incidents in Luzon on Thursday.

Sony Pilor, a resident of Barangay Lublubba, Dolores, Abra, was shot by unidentified men in Barangay Salucag at about 9:30 p.m. He was declared dead on arrival at the Dolores Medicare Community Hospital.

Police said the victim surrendered under Oplan Tokhang last year.

Asis Pumbaya, 27, and his wife Normalia, 29, were found dead with gunshot wounds in the bathroom of their house in Barangay Cauyan, Angeles, Pampanga.

Asis’ hands were tied while Normalia’s face was covered with a towel.

Senior Superintendent Enrico Vargas, Angeles police officer-in-charge, said the chief security guard of the subdivision sought police assistance after residents reported that water continously flowed from the victims’ house.

Police said five bullet shells for a 9mm pistol and drug paraphernalia were recovered at the scene.

In Isabela, Juan Baquirin allegedly shot it out with  police operatives who raided his hideout in Barangay Rizal, Santiago. The policemen responded to reports that a man was killed after being robbed of his tricycle in Barangay Mabini.

A caliber .45 pistol and a hand grenade were recovered from the fatality. 

Mario Abergas was driving the barangay ambulance with three other security volunteers on their way to Barangay Marawa, Jaen, Nueva Ecija when he was shot.

The gunman, who was identified as Marlon Escale, 45, escaped.

In Laguna, Jonathan Mendiola was driving his tricycle when he was shot in Barangay Sto. Tomas, Biñan.

Investigations into the killings are ongoing.
