Rizal security officer nabbed for killing wife

MANILA, Philippines — A security officer of the provincial government of Rizal was arrested after he allegedly shot dead his wife in Antipolo City on Thursday.

The incident, which was caught on a dashcam video, occurred in front of the Ynares Center in Barangay San Roque shortly before noon.

Video footage showed the suspect, whose identity was not immediately available, shooting his wife in the presence of motorists and bystanders.

The victim died while being treated in a hospital.

Responding police officers and members of the provincial government security office seized from the suspect a gun believed used in the killing.

Reports said the suspect and his wife earlier met at the human resource office of the provincial government to discuss matters concerning financial support for their children.
