4 killed in shootings

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were gunned down in Tarlac, Isabela and Batangas on Monday.

Tricycle driver Michael Christian Carballo, 34, a resident of Barangay Poblacion Norte, Paniqui, Tarlac, was waiting for a passenger jeepney when he was shot by motorcycle-riding men.

Socrates Bala Sr., 41, a son of former judge Dionisio Bala of Barangay District 1, Cauayan, Isabela, and his companion identified only as Tintin were  about to board a Toyota Hilux in front of a grocery store in Barangay District 3 when they were fired at.

Bala died at the scene. Tintin died while being treated at the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center Inc. 

Ruelito delos Reyes, 35, was driving his motorcycle to pick up his son at the Binubusan Elementary School in Lian, Batangas when he was shot.
